Our Rescues

Meet Calypso
Calypso is a gentle and sensitive girl who just wants to feel safe and loved. She forms quiet bonds with her people and tries her best every day. Because she did not have the easiest start she will need a patient home where trust can grow at her pace. Once comfortable her sweet personality really shines.

She would do best with another friendly dog to help build her confidence. She has also made great progress with cats and now calmly passes them and even gives soft face licks.

On leash she can feel overwhelmed when dogs are too close but improves with space and positive guidance. She is eager to please and responds very well to kind handling.

Calypso would do best with:
• A calm, patient home
• Another friendly dog
• Someone willing to continue positive reinforcement training
• A family who sees her sensitivity as something special, not something to “fix”

Meet Molson
Molson is a five month old German Shepherd Border Collie mix with a bright mind and playful spirit. Recently diagnosed with Neospora which has affected one of his hind legs, Molson is currently on long term treatment. We are hopeful for improvement but amputation may be needed in a few months if the leg does not respond.

Most importantly Molson is a happy curious puppy who wants to learn and be part of everyday life. He is good with other dogs, full of energy, and very intelligent. He will thrive with someone who enjoys working breeds and can keep his active brain engaged.

What Molson Needs
Because Molson may require future medical treatment or surgery, we are looking for:
• Adoptive home within driving distance of St. Thomas, Ontario for ongoing veterinary care
• Children old enough to stay calm and respectful during recovery, ideally 8 years or older
• Able to provide structure, training, enrichment, and confidence building
• Prepared to manage and limit activity during healing
